You know how in anime

When someone is about to hit their enemy from behind with a really powerful attack that could decide the battle???

Then the fucking character shouts “GOT YOU NOW!!” from miles away to give their opponent plenty of time to dodge/block/etc???

Why would you do that???

Why would the writers write that???
